Astaxanthin
Hawaiian Astaxanthin versus Canadian Astaxanthin
Which one to choose?
Gandalf Hawaiian astaxanthinTM is extracted from microalgae cultivated in Hawaii, benefiting from sunlight and environmental conditions conducive to astaxanthin production. Gandalf offers it in a dosage of 12 mg in a vegetarian capsule. Cultivated with sunshine, water, and "aloha" spirit.
Gandalf Canadian astaxanthinTM is cultivated in Canada. Each vegetarian capsule contains 4 mg of astaxanthin, extracted by breaking plant cells at low temperature directly from the algae into a carrier oil. This exclusive process does not require chemicals or supercritical extraction, resulting in obtaining astaxanthin in its most natural state.
In terms of nutritional quality, both types of astaxanthin are similar. The main difference lies in cultivation practices, extraction methods, and their concentration: 4 mg or 12 mg.
